DIQA becomes an associated partner of the Open PHACTS project that builds a semantic data integration platform for pharmacological data.
Karlsruhe - April 30th 2013 – DIQA Projektmanagement GmbH becomes an associated partner of the Open PHACTS project. Global pharmaceutical companies, universities and IT-companies form the Open PHACTS consortium to build a semantic data integration platform for pharmacological data that gives answers needed to identify new drug targets and pharmacological interactions. DIQA intends to work with the Open PHACTS partners to give users transparent access to the project's pharmacological data from within Microsoft SharePoint. As a particular result of this work, DIQA will interface its SharePoint add-on GRASP with the Open PHACTS Discovery Platform in order to provide life science professionals with:

Open PHACTS is a 3-year knowledge management project of the Innovative Medicines Initiative, started in March 2011, and will deliver a sustainable service to continue after the project funding ends. The project consortium consists of leading institutions covering semantics, pharmacology, and informatics and is driven by solid industry business requirements: 27 partners, including 9 pharmaceutical companies and 4 biotechs. ref.
